Klein Sering, meaning “Small Syringa”, carries the spirit of the Koen family’s original farm, Sering. The name is a tribute to generations past, a reminder that every vine planted here grows from a foundation of memory, tradition, and respect for those who worked the land before.

Situated in the tranquil Noordhoek Valley, Klein Sering rests on ground once part of De Goede Hoop, a farm renowned as the most prolific vegetable‑growing area in the Cape Peninsula. This fertile land, shaped by centuries of cultivation, continues to give generously. The valley’s history is woven into every harvest, making Klein Sering not just a vineyard, but a living chapter in the Cape’s agricultural heritage.

Close to the ocean, the vineyards are cooled by sea breezes that drift inland, slowing the ripening of grapes and allowing flavors to deepen with time. This natural rhythm reflects the patience of generations who understood that good things grow slowly, nurtured by balance and care.

Klein Sering Boutique Wines is more than a producer, it is a custodian of memory. Each bottle is a tribute to the Koen family’s heritage, to the Noordhoek Valley’s agricultural past, and to the enduring generosity of the land. To drink Klein Sering is to share in a story that began long ago, and continues with every vintage.
