At the intersection of three renowned winemaking regions in the Cape, Stellenbosch, Paarl, and Franschhoek—stands the iconic Simonsberg Mountain, rising 1,399 meters above sea level. Known for its silhouette resembling a reclining man (Simon), the mountain also bears the subtle outline of a woman gazing towards Franschhoek, a mysterious and graceful image that became the heart and soul of the brand.
Muse 1399 is named in honor of this mountain muse and the elevation she represents. Like the lady of Simonsberg, the brand aspires to stand out quietly but indelibly—leaving a lasting impression on the landscape of South African wine.
